Helliwell's Summer with the Leprechauns was delightful as well as informative about the elementals. Pilgrimage . . lacked the "delightful"ness. She was quite a few years older when the Pilgrimage book took place and she probably had lost some of her "freshness" - as we all do with more years on us. And in Pilgrimage, the Leprechaun seemed to have taken on an arrogance that went beyond paradoxical wisdom and faerie playfulness. I didn't like it. HOWEVER, the substance, the Craic lessons that were being taught and learned on this trip WERE difficult ones. The Craic is a real thing - dyanmic, force - for which different cultures have different names. The fact that the perverseness of this energy and its lessons came through in the book is perhaps - - proof! - - of the book. The Craic is not fun - but it is real, is really in our lives and working with it - looking deeper, learning to let go of certain things - ARE important to learn. So, while Pilgrimage wasn't FUN to read it was GOOD to read. I felt supported in dealing with the Craic in my own life.

As in "Summer with the Leprechauns" this story gives great incite into Tanis's ability to see and converse freely with the elementals. It has a colorful storyline but also deeper truths about life, how we need to focus, and what help to look for from the unseen realms. Is it fact or fiction? I know what I believe, see what you believe. A fun adventure of how to cooperate with the "forces of nature".

Was a fascinating book and good read. Could visualize the leprechaun and his antics and family. Reminded me of how to connect with the elementals in my own back yard. You should have seen our tomato bushes!

It didn't hold my interest as much as her first book about the Leprechauns, and I would have liked to have seen a map of the trip with the areas highlighted. Not sure what I was expecting, but I did read it until the end, but never got the excitement I felt with "Summer with the Leprechauns".

This is the second book my Ms. Helliwell that I have read. They were both recommended to me by a friend. If you are looking to find more of the magic of life, I recommend Ms. Helliwell's books as well as books by others dealing with the side of Nature that we most often do not see with our physical eyes.

Excellent sequel to My Summer with the Lepurechauns.
Another awesome story by Tanis Helliwell. The story resonates long after you're done reading it, and helps give a lighter perspective on the challenges we face in life.
