This was a helpful book on the GRE Literature exam. But after taking it, it seems that this is an exam that there cannot really be a study guide for as it is a strikingly broad subject and requires a tremendous amount of study prior to attempting it that effectively summarizes all English literature (from 449-present) and modern new criticism.
This book is no-nonsense in its approach and easy to understand. The advice is direct and valuable. It will help those students who lack confidence, especially those who think that they cannot pass the AP test. Aside from the actual value of the advice, the book is funny and sarcastic, which makes it both interesting and fun to read. Well worth the money.
