-Is the lesson of this book.

Not only do the fierce Normans learn to fear the Gauls, but the annoying teenager Justforkix gains the courage to be a man.

Goscinny was a genius. His incisive wit is timeless, his engaging plots tend to have deeper underlying meaning, and he is adept at touching on multiple themes that link the present to the ancient past. Its no surprise that the Asterix series were such a massive global success: he had a wholesome formula that rivets both children and adults alike.
