The book was in pretty good condition, though the previous owner already used a high-lighter pen in the book. So far, the high-lighting is not an issue since they didn't go crazy. I have really enjoyed the book and think that it is a great and thorough text to cover introductory oceanography. I would recommend this book for learning about the ocean and for beginners.

Book came fast, was in perfect condition! However, instead of it being a soft cover, it was just all the pages of the book 3 hole-punched so had to put it in a binder- a little hard to flip back and forth... but otherwise, great!

I hated this class but I did find the book enjoyable to read. Very interesting information and I did not find it difficult to understand.
This nicely edited book provides a general information, but well selected what is important, and is very well organized.
