This has been a fantastic textbook for learning statistics. It is well-written and has great examples throughout each chapter. I've heard many other students say the same thing, as well. As a side-note, I will say that I have not cared for the Aplia access homework card, that is not included with the book---some instructors choose to use this and some don't, for an additional purchase. If you are already doing homework problems from the book, requiring Aplia adds too much work, and you have to deal with restricted time and date limits for when you can access it. It is helpful as an additional tool, for further explanation, if you need it. Otherwise, I don't like it. Again, the book is great, and I highly recommend it.

If this is a class that is needed for graduation, then this is a good one. It accurately describes formulas to the extent that often I refer to the book over what the professor is speaking. Too frequently the prof can deviate from the actual material that a good sense of grounding is needed. Pagano effortlessly provides this backbone from which to base all statistics.

I can only speak from a psychology student's perspective, but despite my loathing for statistics, I still find this book somewhat endearing (as far as textbooks go). There are several sections that I would not have been able to pass had it not been for this books descriptions and breakdowns of problems and examples.

Though I wish there were more problems per chapter (at the end of the chapter questions and practice problems), this book provides a comprehensive introduction into statistics.

Rented very good reference guide. saved me a bundle, Love amazon for text books

This book was a little hard to follow for me because it teaches different concepts than the typical stats book. My course actually used the newer version but my professor said to get this one because it wasn't really much different.

Statistics can be a very abstract topic and Statisticians speak in a language all their own. This book was the assigned text for my graduate level statistics class. Pagano, at times, speaks an English language we all can understand and uses real-world examples for many of the topics covered in the book. Still, I would not recommend trying to understand this book or its subject matter without actually being enrolled in statistics course, but it is a very good text for statistics students, even those without strong math backgrounds, to understand.

It's an okay book, didn't help me much with the class though. There were some mathematical errors printed within it, so if you rely solely on this textbook without any further guidance from your instructor, be in for a wake-up call.

Easiest statistics book. ORGANIZED WELL.
DON'T TAKE STATISTICS ONLINE. IT IS MUCH EASIER TO LEARN IN PERSON WITH SOMEONE ACTUALLY TEACHING YOU.
Everything in this book is explained so well. EVERYTHING! What a great job with this book! Well done. I was sweating bullets taking this class and I understand the book easier than my teacher often times. (I have a really good teacher too!) I hate math, and I am confident I will do well in this class with this book. Thank you so much Robert. You rock!
