Part of the Progress in Colloid & Polymer Science book series (PROGCOLLOID, volume 83. eds) Interfaces in Condensed Systems. Progress in Colloid & Polymer Science, vol 83. Steinkopff. Abstract. Experimental investigation with optical techniques give very useful information on liquid-gas and liquid-liquid interfaces. Water diffusion coefficients have been measured in myoglobin single crystals and bovine serum albumin (BSA) solutions by the aid of the NMR field-gradient technique. The temperature and the concentration dependences have been determined. The diffusion coefficients in the myoglobin single crystals and in the hydration water of the BSA solutions indicate a strikingly high mobility of the water molecules.

Concentrated sterically stabilized dispersions and their flocculation by depletion layers. Interfacial electrochemistry of oxides: Recognition of common principles. Molecular wetting films.

from book Trends in Colloid and Interface Science XIV (p. 8-92). Progress in Colloid and Polymer Science. Chapter · May 2000 with 41 Reads. How we measure 'reads'. The concentration dependence of S exp (Q) gives evidence for unusual phase behaviour as predicted by theory. In addition, the dynamics of the star polymer solutions is dominated by an increasing amount of structural arrest with increasing concentration.

Progress in Colloid and Polymer Science" serves as a supplementary series to the journal "Colloid and Polymer Science". It publishes topic-related volumes in the area of colloid and polymer science and its interdisciplinary interactions. As such, it responds to a demand which has lost non of its actuality as revealed in the trends of contemporary materials science. The data used in the calculation may not be exhaustive
