Spoilers:
To have fallen in love with someone you're denied. Because she's married! To your cousin! And the heroine wants him too! But both are bound by their sense of morale and respect it.
Her marriage suffers her husband "delusional" jealousy which IMO is a completely separate issue from her heart being stolen by her husband's cousin. They are separated, and the abusive husband dies, along with the Hero's wife.
Now the H uses all means he has and blackmails her to be his wife. He thinks she is liar, unfaithful - all due to the courtesy of her late husband. A lot of intense passion combined with pain... good book altogether.
But I do think the author had a very strong plot here. The narrative could've been better. Specially the end felt like it was just hurried over. The quality and connectivity of dialogue also deteriorated slightly towards the end.

This was a read I thoroughly enjoyed and I have been reading harlequin novels for many years. I don't like sharing too many details, they can be found easily in other reviews if you want them, but it is one I will read again. I don't do that often. My favorite are stories that are centered around Greece as this one is. I enjoy Lucy Monroe's books and this one is a favorite. The plot and storyline were nice, and the characters very likable, you want them to be together. I especially liked the love interest in this one..he was confident, successful, arrogant, and of course good looking, but still displayed love, the role of protector and tenderness throughout the book. The main character was smart and displayed strength, courage, and generosity. I easily wanted to see her end up happy.

I bought this in paperback when it first came out and I knew when I got my kindle that this had to go on it. I love the main characters so much. I mean they attraction was instant even though Savannah was married to his cousin at the time. Flash forward years later and she still feels the tug on her emotions. When they are both left widowed, Leiandros sets in motion a plan to secure Savannah in his bed and life. Of course Savannah, fights him because she has already lived through one bad marriage to a Greek so she didn't want another one. The only problem everyone is against her leaving Greece even her little daughters so Leiandros sets out to steal her heart. Savannah can only fight so long so its a joy to watch as these two fall in love. I can't tell you how many times I have read this book and I would recommend everyone read this one.

I enjoyed this book and thought the author did a good job developing each of the characters. Misunderstandings and family loyalty, combined with prolonged tension between the main characters, made this one of the better harlequin romances I've read lately.

she fled her abusive husband and was raising their two daughters alone when he died in the same car accident that killed the wife and unborn child of his cousin. sounds bad, doesn't it? moving right along, the cousin blackmails her to return and marry him. sounds like he is really really mad because he kissed her before he knew she was married to his cousin...err, because his cousin lied about her...its a nice enough read, no great angst but no major horrors either. the hero comes off as kind of sweet for a vindictive type-he says she owes him, then does sweet things for her.

I liked the h, she had spunk, and even though her children's father has a jerk, she wanted them to have a piece of his culture. The H was an honorable guy, but guilty of judging the h wrongly, mostly because of lies told to him by family. Having said that, they had good chemistry, he clearly cared for her and her children, and didn't allow the in-laws to treat her badly. It was a good book and kept me entertained...d;)
Nakora
This story starts out with a heroine and hero who distrust each other, but sizzle together. The story builds nicely throughout the chapters. Both the heroine and hero are likeable. Although the couple end up waiting until late in the book to consummate their relationship, the book reads quickly because the author does a great job revealing more and more layers to the hero and heroine's personalities. Beautiful story. Recommend this book.
