To Be a Husband (Presents . Carole Mortimer

To Be a Husband (Presents . Carole Mortimer. I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone, its lacking in structure, men lack personality, its really not that romantic, format need A LOT of work, lacks the "flow" of a good book and you finish each story unsatisfied, uninspired and uninterested. I literally had to drag myself to finish this series. Anyway i would love to hear someone else's interpretation of the book.

Description from the book back cover:

Jonathan Hunter. Middle brother, accomplished lover - he's blond and impossibly good-looking. What woman can resist his charm? Gaye Royal, for one! For Jonathan, this is a first. Gaye's cool, elegant beauty is a challenge in itself, and she makes it plain that she doesn't want him in her life -- a situation he's determined to change. But why is Gaye so elusive, so intriguing, and what does Jonathan have to do to win her over? Propose marriage? Being a husband is the last thing that Jonathan has in mind ...

Jarrett, Jonathan, and Jordan Hunter are the BACHELOR BROTHERS
I liked the story because it was very well written and the story flowed. Carole Mortimer succeeded in peaking my interest and curiousity - what was the heroine hiding? why didn't she want to be involved with anyone??? The heroine was different from others I have read. It was nice to see that sometimes she was quiet, frank, blunt. She was not annoying at all. The hero was well written, charming and very helpful. Of course we know why he was very helpful LOL since he wanted the heroine. Initially I was annoyed when he was semi-mean to the heroine later in the story. But then I understand since he was obviously afraid of love or should i say being hooked like his older brother and his older friend Ben and of course thats part of the storyline LOL. Even though he went on a "date" with another woman, Carole Mortimer didn't do cheap storyline of the heroine finding out about it and getting mad, etc. I recommend this story. The heroine was mature and their coming together was really nice and didn't really involve a lot of supermind games or shouting or things of that nature. It was sort of nice to see the heroine taking some sort of initiative but it didn't look like she was too "forward" about it. I was a little confused the hero was kind of dumb at the end "duh" on why he kept thinking the heroine and her ex-fiance had something going on. I never read the first book (involving the older brother Jarret) and the ending give a hint of the next book - the story of the younger brother Jordan. But you can still read this book and enjoy.
