Daughter of The Mountain. Narrated by Stephanie Brush. I think the strictest adaptation I've read was the one where the other half of the book was about a gay man during the height of the AIDS epidemic (which I have not been able to remember the name of for years), so even there there was something beyond the strict fairy tale to keep interest. Daughter of the Forest doesn't really do that.

I am glad I purchased Daughter of the Mountain. Would recommend it. 0. Report. com User, August 6, 2007. I like the strength and determination of Jessie and the ruggedness of Daniel Bear. They have good chemistry in this book. Characters are important to me and so is the story line. This book keeps moving and I had a hard time putting it down. I also enjoy the gradual intimacy that is formed in this book. I will be reading more of her books.

I am a sucker for romance books that are set in nature, the forest and have a native american component as well. I fancy myself a woodswoman and feel that my place too, like Vella Munn is in the mountains. This book was a captive read and there were a few passages from the book that really made me think and seemed to teach me something about life, along with the romance, this book was good enough for me to keep and read again at a later time. That's saying alot. To each his own but many a book I begin and not my cup of tea and off it goes to be donated to someone else before the second chapter. I read one other Vella Munn book before this one and while it was good, this one was much better. I plan on perusing more Vella Munn because of thie book. If you like romance, the frontier, the early life of the settlers, etc. then this book will win you.
