The books discuss the idea that the physical environment is constructed and maintained by the inner selves of the individual occupants (including the animals). The inner selves project, en masse, a pattern for physical reality which is then filled with energy, as needed, by each individual.

Now in this first volume of The Unknown Reality, Seth explains the dazzling labyrinths of unseen probabilities involved in any decision, and how our awareness of these can enrich the waking life we know. Another outstanding Seth book, very advanced. If you are just beginning to question mainstream concepts of life and reality, I would recommend starting with Seth Speaks, followed by The Nature of Personal Reality. I think it would be difficult to grasp the concepts in this book without the foundation that these other two books provided.

In this book (Part 1 of 2 volumes), Seth delves deeply into the nature of consciousness, the concepts of time and space, probabilities, religion and more. It's intense, and beyond intriguing. When you're ready, it's an excellent read.

I have been waiting for this book to come out on kindle. It's absence presented a yawning gap in the availability of Seth's books on kindle. This is my personal favorite of the Seth books. In it, he delves deep into the true nature of what we call reality. I have read nothing else that approaches the depth and truth of this book. It has been many years since I last read my hardcover copy, and I'm itching to dig into the kindle version. This book sits at the top of my list of the most important books ever written.

Now I can't wait for volume two.

As I expressed in my review of the second volume, Seth's books have changed my life for the better in so many ways since I began reading them when the first book in the series was published. No supernatural silliness, no hocus pocus, no cult or religious aspects, just a view of multi-universal reality in which we are all a part and part of each other. With reflection and a little effort, we can change our lives for the better and, in extension, the world. Great stuff I will read for the rest of my life.

I have to laugh when seeing another reviewer complain about the flow of the writing, considering the author is a nebulous mist, I would say the flow is pretty good.

The writings of Seth are fascinating especially if you consider how long ago this was penned. What I found extremely interesting were the concepts of multiple parralel universes which correlate to quantum theory and many of the modernist views emerging in the "New Age" arenas and gaining attention among authors like Greg Braden. The theory of every decision having multiple outcomes, and that we experience all of those possible outcomes is mind boggling.

It's not easy reading in as such if you expect to pick the book up and finish up in 3 days, then you will be dissappointed. It's material that needs to be read and reread, as different ideas come across on each reading. I'm a big fan of Seth material, but I can understand that it's not everyone's cup of tea.

The greatest book ever written about the true nature of spirituality, and creativity.... the laws that govern the Universe can only be known by understanding the inner reality.... discusses everything from out of body trips, to space travel, the psychology of the mind and matter. Probably not the first of Jane Robert's books that the neophyte should read, but one of the best for those people who already have an understanding of the basic concepts of conscious dreams, intuitive abilities, and who seek that inner knowledge concerning life and death.

Here is my review from that one: This, as with all Jane Roberts/Seth books, opens doorways that no one discusses or dares to discuss, in a clear and concise, understandable way. The Seth books, specifically, especially focus on what we need to know and understand about the full, vital, ever-reaching potential we all share and how our universe is, indeed, ours.

While science is focused primarily on empiric proof for every subject they examine, Seth takes us on a journey that explores the deep, vast expanse of personal consciousness and its connection to all things. These are books for people who want to know, to grow, to learn, and to experience life both personally and en masse, without the constant pigeon-holing that goes on with accepted mores and moralizing. It's an invitation to explore the present - your point of power - take the journey!

some of the reviews said that you "could" skip this vol and go to the 2nd part of this work, vol 2. after digesting this volume i am greatly thankFUL that i have ordered both of them, as they were written as one body of work andi am now finding that i am very interested in the jane and rob "story" as i wasnt on my first run-thru in the 80's. perhaps now after my own "time" of unfolding into these ideas... (tho we all know time is NOT) lol, i have now aquired what feels to me like the perspective that was necessary for me personally to grasp what i could not have fathomed in the 80's... at all. so if your interest DOES include what was "going on" with jane and rob and what it must have taken from them to gestalt THIS body of work in such a cohesive and useable fashion for all those many years, THIS volume adds to that dimension in a way that (to me) none other has.
This is truly an outstanding book. It takes a quantum leap ahead of the other material I have so far encountered in the "Seth" books.
So much so as to make one wonder if it is the same entity providing the material --- or to be almost overwhelmed at the vastness of the knowledge and understanding being presented in this book. It is being presented in such a manner as to make one eager to "go where no man has gone before", to quote STAR TREK. Words fail to express my feelings about this book and what I am learning from it. I hope others who decide to take the journey this book offers find the same thrill and enjoyment from it I continue to find.
