I like this deck as I enjoy sewing from time to time and each card depicts the artists' vision of the tarot through various applique work, beading and fabric painting methods. The book is in pristine condition, almost like new. I am thankful the seller kept it well for someone like me to enjoy. This book and deck set is a first edition and it further adds to my interest in this original rendition of this deck as there is/are newer editions of it. I love looking through each card and occassionally leave a card up all day to personally enjoy. I do not have aspirations for reading with them as the present moment, but I do enjoy reading the book. The book is well put together and after each description of a card, there is a small ritual you can perform based on the energies of the card. Full color pictures of each card are included with each card description and somehow look better than the actual card image itself. Perhaps the cards were printed in a shoddy manner compared to the book? Anyhow, I appreciate the art value of this deck and it will remain in my collection for many years to come.

These cards have a clear connection to the RWS format, making them compatible with many books, not just the companion book. Cards are slightly over-sized with large white borders, so if you find that distracting, check out the Zerner- Farber. The designs are based on fabric art, making them highly accessible to even those who are unsure about tarot. But don't mistake this for a fluffy deck! Death is properly named Death, and has a skeleton and the Devil is still the devil, reminding us all of the shadow side. The book does not give reversed meanings, so if you use reversals ( or want to learn), you will need to use another book. Each card also has a mini spell attached to each card (affirmations, meditations, spells) which can be used or ignored as the reader wishes.

I love this book! It was first a gift from a very good friend 20 years ago. I wore it out, so I bought another one. It contains some of the most beautiful cards I have ever had the pleasure of touching and using and the definitions are absolutely magical, they also contain that magic as an art with references. This is a magical blend of a partnership that is still in its prime. Love the book, love the creators of the work. I believe that it is a must have for anyone who loves the world of enchantment.

I recently acquired this great Tarot deck and book. And it is really amazing to explore and practice with. What i don't like about the deck is the confining white border around the edges. If they cut off the borders, the deck would be more facilitative and flowing. The artwork is stunnning and magickal. It's a modern tarot deck with a heraldic grandeur and majestic splendor that brings the chivalric past into the mundane present. It's one of the best Tarot decks around today. The book is basically a good addendum, yet most information is a repeat of standard traditional tarot books, like from Arthur Waite and Eden Gray. It's another great montage and collage of Tarot images from the creative divination team of Amy Zerner and Monte Farber.

A friend of mine had this deck, and when I looked through the cards to see their unique and beautiful pictures, I just thought it was, well, neat and beautiful!
But then I gave myself a reading and I really appreciated the description of the cards. The descriptions have 3 short sections: The Dream, The Awakening, and The Enchantment: basically what the card represents in the subconscious, ethereal realm; what the card represents in your life as you see it play out; and an exercise for the person to do to relate and work with the essence of the card.

I'd recommend this deck to beginners and to people who want a different deck from the traditional Tarot de Marseille types, especially to people who love dreams, surrealism, fantasy, and beauty.

Description is misleading. I was under the impression I was getting the tarot deck AND the book, and I only got the book, which, I didn't really want in the first place, I was mainly looking for the deck. Book is in okay condition, but I'm pretty disappointed that the advert says you get the cards but it must've meant that the cards are on the pages? I don't know. I'm displeased.

I was drawn to this deck for the lack of negative imagery. Like many others, I do not resonate with the reversals and resulting negative energy. It was all a bit overwhelming at first (so many cards, so little patience), but as I studied and read more and more, this deck began to make even more sense. I found the depth of the artwork to inspire me to look deeper and deeper for the meaning of the spread. Thank you, Amy and Monte, for making me THINK and be PATIENT!
I've had this set for about a week now, and I simply can't put it down. This is the first set that I have ever owned, and every moment I'm at home I can feel my cards calling to me... They have a great energy. All of the readings that I have done have been "right on". I love this deck!

The artwork is very tasteful, and the cards are nice and thick. They wont show wear and tear easily. The pictures are very different from a lot of the card sets that I've looked at. It's not as "traditional" as some of the decks you can find. The artist has made it so that you can just look at the cards and know the general meaning behind them, if you've never studied tarot- and if you have studies tarot, you can appreciate how well the art depicts the meaning. I would highly recomend this set to beginners and more advance readers and also collectors.
