This is a book about English grammar. Need I say more? Well this is goodreads to I suppose that I maybe should. For a book claiming to be an introduction to grammar, the author speaks like the reader should already know everything she is talking about. Most of the time, I’d read the assigned chapters then go into class clueless until my professor put things into real world terms.

Manesenci
This book does not offer very good explanations of grammatical terminology. As someone who has been away from English grammar for quite a while and now returning to study it, unfortunately this book is not especially helpful. I would really prefer if this book gave better explanations of the 'tree' diagrams. I have never encountered these trees before and the author 'assumes' everyone has encountered them, and therefore, very poor explanations are given for how to diagram them.

I actually found a different book that wasn't really even directly related to grammar to be more helpful than this book is.
I'll likely be selling this book back to Amazon at the end of the semester.
Realistic
This book did not help me at all in my English grammar class
Ydely
The book has good information, but it is not formatted in a reader-friendly way. You have to search for the information that you need.

This is an excellent book that encompasses the majority of grammar rules in English. It is easy to read, too.
