1997 PRESCRIPTION DRUGS FOR PEOPLE OVER 50 Paperback Book by CONSUMER GUIDE.

The classic guide to all major prescription and nonprescription drugs . Having worked in nursing care, this book has been a guide for nurses and on the home front

The classic guide to all major prescription and nonprescription drugs, featuring revised, up-to-date FDA information and an A–Z list of illnesses for easy reference. Includes coverage of dosage and length of time before a drug takes effect; side effects; special precautions; interactions with other food and drugs; standards for use by different age groups; and more. Having worked in nursing care, this book has been a guide for nurses and on the home front. When my older guide was outdated, I decided to update; quite a lot of changes of medicines in use from way back when.

This book is basically the same as The PDR Pocket Guide to Prescription Drugs, except in a different format. Nonetheless this is an excellent reference book to have in your home. The physical dimensions of this book is larger, not as many pages, and the print is somewhat larger. Information on drugs is taken from the same source (Physicans Desk Reference). It is just a little dated. 10 people found this helpful.
