**BOOK IN GENERAL**
This book is a small sampling of photographers work. The reason this book is doomed to fall short of doing justice to the artists featured is it's scope of content and restrictive dimensions. The book is a little over 5"x7" in size and 447 pages. This means the largest picture is restricted to 5x7 portraits, many though are smaller perspective pictures in landscape and portrait. In 437 pages, first 10 pages are admin, the author puts forth 73 photographers. This means you get roughly 6-8 pages of a photographer's work. Out of this, you get around 6 to 10 images to view. It's clear this book is overly crowded. A book like this is hard-pressed to put forth a representative selection of an artist's body of work under these conditions. Consider that I have a book of Nobuyoshi Araki's photography in a 12"x8" book with well over 500 pages. With only showing one artist's work with so many pages, you still leave feeling that you only got a small sampling of his photography. Now imagine instead that there are 73 artists instead of one. You feel like you only got a nibble, not a meal. To be fair, Araki has had a long career, and for what this book provides for the excellent price, it's a great starting point to gain exposure to artists and a wide variation of the theme; "Erotic Photography." What helps is the first page of a each photographer being showcased gives their name, a couple of words about them and names of books and/or websites when applicable. You will have to follow up on the photographer through other means if you like what they have done.

**TYPES OF PHOTOGRAPHY**
I won't say that I feel any artist's photography is good or bad. Just remember that the keyword in the book's title is erotic. Pictures range from snapshots, photo shopped, bondage, girl on girl, studio, location, color, b/w, well thought out and choreographed, thought provoking and intimate among other styles. There are 73 photographers, so don't expect a specific sub-genre of eroticism. I felt I got much more than the price of the book for the variety of styles presented. The common theme in this book is a of showing women in various states of undress in various ways. You will enjoy some more than others with this variety.

**PATICULARS**
In a book with so few images per photographer, there should be no repetition in what amounts to very abbreviated portfolios in this book. For the most part you get a great sampling of photographers and their work. There is the occasion in which the photographers work is only represented by a series of shots rather than a sampling of their overall work. Examples of this can be seen with Pierre Dal Corso, who does excellent retouching but you get to see nothing else of him. Valeria Iazareva has over 50% of her shots from one series.

**CONCLUSION**
I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it. I think you will enjoy it and the price is a steal.

This 448-page collection of erotic photographs is very well done. The book's format is only 7.6 X 5.5 inches but that smaller format allows the book to be sold at an affordable price. The last collection of so-called Erotic Photographs that this reviewer bothered reviewing was "The New Erotic Photography Tachen 25th Anniversary Edition of Erotic Photographs." It was the most disappointing collection I'd ever received from Tachen with the possible exception of the their recent edition of "Helmut Newton: Polariods."(Feel free to read those reviews on the Amazon listing sites for the books).
This collection of more than 70 international photographers was much better than either of those previously mentioned titles because it was limited to a collection of erotic photographs of females. The editor Maxim Jakubowski did a good job with his selections. The various photographers represent many different styles of photography. Humor was noticeable from the first double page-spread "R & L Restaurant" at street address 69 that was taken by Gary Breckheimer. Breckheimer gives new meaning to the term street photographer.
Richard Kadrey is a fetish photographer and digital artist living in San Francisco and he has several humorous photos included in the book involving candle wax and Victor Mouse Traps just to mention two of them. There is another very funny photograph on page 308 taken by Mikhail Paramonov of a beautiful nude model peering out the window of a very interestingly shaped, and partly destroyed ancient tower. The viewer will have to see it to fully appreciate the humor. Rebecca Tillett adds another good chuckle to the funny picture category with her closet case that appears on page 402. Mayumi Yoshimaru contributes some more photographic satire and humor on page 447. Aaron Hawks likes making funny photos often including himself in the photograph. One of his visual jokes is shown at the bottom of page 168.
Many of the photographs in the book are self-portraits taken by beautiful woman photographers. Nora Ness, Koshka and Alejandra Guerrero are only three of the examples included in this excellent collection. The viewer of their photographs will be able to examine the different points of view of female beauty as seen and captured by men and women.
Most of the photographers included in this collection aren't yet well known to the general public, but their work represents a galaxy of different styles all of which are well developed. There are so many good photographs and photographers represented here that it's too bad they can't all be mentioned. The photographers all have good eyes. Jean jacques Andre loves to create complicated sets in which to photograph his models. Ditto for john Santerineross. Abraham Wagner covers his models in wild combinations of paint that make them look like modernist splash paintings. Patrick Alt likes exotic costumes and fantasy sets. Anne Pigalle likes to paint and decorate her Polariods. Washington D.C. photographer Larry Bradby loves photographing fetish fashions as do several other photographers included in the collection. So many talented photographers and so many erotic images--it's overwhelming.

As an Artist/Photographer and the author of Erotic Art Nudes Vol. 1: Photo Erotica Featuring Sexy Nude Model "Chiva" I'm always looking at other Artist's work and I have to say this is a great collection of great styles by great erotic artists. In fact drew inspiration from this book which lead to my creating my own Kindle book with print books (large format) to come in the future.

I have the print version of this book and I really enjoy it. The print quality is very good, the collection of works as I have said before is diverse and there is a lot of it. The BUT is that in the print version I would have preferred a larger format of the book even though it would have cost more. I'm used to buying large coffee table books. In fact this is the smallest format erotic art book I own. That being said I would have to say those that are getting the kindle version you're really not losing much size, so I think it's a great book for the Kindle Fire. But I have not seen then Kindle version yet so this is an educated guess based on the print version. Over all I say get this book either in print or Kindle you can't go wrong.
