Great book. I used it for school had everything I needed to work with. The content was that of a teacher's. It helped a lot with the school work.

I was plesantly surprised at how easy this book is to use for both musicians and new musicians. Watch out for used books not all of them have the cd that I needed for my class. For the musicians- sometimes I forget that newbies don't know about the Staff or note names this really starts form the begining. It demonstrates good places to start teaching from.

As promised. Thank you.

I bought this book to use in my college music class. I found it very informative and well-written. There are many sections in it that give great information for those of us studying to become elementary school teachers. It includes a good selection of sheet music. However, the paper used in the book feels like newspaper, so it would be nice if the quality was improved to make it more lasting. Amazon also needs to amend the description near the bottom (which refers to an older edition) as it says that a CD is included. A CD is not included in this edition, but I didn't catch that the description referenced and older book and expected that it did. It would indeed be nice if that CD was still included with this later edition, but overall, I think the price was worth what I paid ($60).
