This book was not at all what I thought it would be. It's very thin, close to just a pamphlet. My son is 12 and was diagnosed at 3 but I was uneducated about the disorder and after 3 years of therapy thought he was better. He was again diagnosed recently and I was looking for a fairly simple book to explain it to him. While this book does explain Asperger's, it does not offer much more information. There are only a few words per page and only 32 pages long. I suppose it is for much younger children. It is perhaps too simple but I can see where it would also be hard for a child to comprehend the words used. Overall I wasn't impressed.

I didn't find this book to be effect as a kindle book as there were pages you needed to fill out which then I needed to make a sheet to print out as it was not possible to print these sections.

I think it is a great visual book but as a hard copy.

so that is what I am going to do is order the hard copy now so that I can use it like it should be used.

This book is a great source of ideas for telling children with Aspergers about their diagnosis. I feel bad about criticizing it, but it falls short in format and content. The black and white pages look like the product of basic PowerPoint skills. The text is in bullet format, and the accompanying clip art figures don't add any substance. In short, it doesn't look appealing to young readers. The actual telling of the children that they have Aspergers struck me as a bit abrupt.

If a second edition addresses these concerns, I think the book will be much more successful.
