This book is part of a five series collection that includes Sufism, Sufism and Wisdom, Sufism and Islam, and Sufism and Peace. The book is the result of a lecture given at the American University of Paris. The author who is well versed in various disciplines including mathematics and physics poses very profound questions throughout the book. He draws upon the above mentioned disciplines to masterfully explain and elaborate issues that have been plaguing mankind, especially in the recent years. As an educator, I was especially touched when Professor Angha pointed to the sad fact of the need for armed guards patrolling hallways in public schools (p.16).

With all the advancements in various sciences and psycho-social disciplines the question is raised, how come we still don't have a high degree of peace and stability in society? What is great about the book is that the solutions and root causes of such problems are also explained. In other words, hope and possible solutions to the problems are also presented. This is one of my favorite books.

An eye opener book! Great to know about the reality of sufism and islam, how they can grow the seed of love in the heart!

This book explains to the audience that religion has taken an evolutionary journey where each prophet (from Abraham to Muhammad (peace be upon them)) has contributed wisdom as part of this evolution at their time. According to Prof Nader Angha, "there is only one law in the universe, that is the law of "Oneness". Knowledge, balance and harmony are inherent in this law; that is why we see harmony and peace in the universe....The essence of the message of Prophets has been to teach people how to arrive at the same peace and stability in their own lives." In other words,religion embodies the same law. One has to experience and see God to know oneself. Anything else is an illusion. Sufism teaches how to experience this law of oneness so each one of us reaches the same harmony and peace in the universe. So cool!
