Four Wives Book Trailer

Four Wives Book Trailer. Author and opt-out expert Wendy Walker talks about her novel "Four Wives" (St. Martin's Griffin, March 31 2009), a story about the personal choices of four highly-educated women, and how they must confront the consequences of choices made long ago: marital abuse, adultery, career guilt, and ghosts from the past. Walker's first novel is a treat. It's well written and features great characters, lots of humor, and dead-on analysis of friendship, marriage, and motherhood. A true page-turner treat.

I really liked this book, but the editing on the punctuation on my Kindle copy was so bad that I almost quit reading it....it was distracting!! It is a shame, because the writing was good....it told a good story of four women that are going through serious struggles on feeling like they have lost themselves in being wives and mothers. They are beautiful and rich, with nice homes, healthy children, and long marriages.....everything that society often tells women is supposed to make them happy but ultimately does not!!

A good steady read. Not overly done but holds your interest. Characters are more realistic than in some similar books I've read (when life gives you lululemons) for one example. Characters are deeper, darker and more developed.

This book was interesting and entertaining. Really couldn't put it down. Only issue was some minor editing errors. Use of apostrophe' s as commas were at first confusing, then just became annoying as I read. Otherwise I would highly recommend this book.

This was so boring that I just stopped reading it about a third of the way through.

The reviews on this book were mixed, but I had enjoyed another book by Wendy Walker so I ordered it. Really enjoyed it. Good storyline with lots of well defined characters.

This book is a quick read. I am sure someone can write something more interesting about the housewives of New Canaan. I had high hopes for this book. It was a quick read, and held my interest but overall nothing extraordinary happened in the book and I was hoping for more twists and turns.
Here is a case of watch what you wish for....the grass is not always greener on the other side. Entertaining. Wendy keeps you guessing and most important laughing.
