My husband and I visited Peter Island Resort and Spa for our 25th . Refreshing morning laps in the pool. I forgot my goggles but the little boutique was well stocked and I got a new pair.

My husband and I visited Peter Island Resort and Spa for our 25th wedding anniversary in June of 2016 and can't wait to return! Start the day with a morning yoga class followed by water sports at the beach. Luxuriate in an Ayurvedic spa treatment at the hotel’s 10,000 sq ft spa. Take a horticultural tour with the head gardener or a stroll through Coconut Grove Garden. From picturesque views and personal staff, a private vehicle, excellent facilities, and a lot of space, these villas can accommodate large groups of people in a truly magnificent setting.

Resort offers an affordable alternative to Richard Branson's island, Necker

Resort offers an affordable alternative to Richard Branson's island, Necker. Peter Island lies near Norman Island which inspired classic Treasure Island. Resort is said to be where Blackbeard’s men were marooned in the story. The Peter Island Resort & Spa has the atmosphere of a private club because of the convivial staff, notably the vivacious Jean Kelly – now in her 80s – who’s been there for three decades. Of the 1,800 acres of idyllic beaches and hills in the resort, only 300 are developed, and with just 52 rooms and three villas, you barely pass a soul on the two-mile gentle ‘Sunset Loop’ stroll to the peak of the estate to watch the sun set over Norman Island.
