The Beinecke Rare Book & Manuscript Library (/ˈbaɪnɪki/) is the rare book library and literary archive of the Yale University Library in New Haven, Connecticut. Situated on Yale University's Hewitt Quadrangle, the building was designed by Gordon Bunshaft of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and completed in 1963.

Mr. Van Arsdale B. Turner, when he was an assistant in the division, wrote the first draft of a great part of it; Mr. John C. Fitzpatrick read the proof and indexed the larger part of it; Miss Emily B. Mitchell contributed the part which covers the French and Spanish transcripts, and I prepared a number of the items.

We hold over 13 million books, 920,000 journal and newspaper titles, 57 million patents and 3 million sound recordings. Open to everyone, the Library also offers exhibitions, events and a Treasures Gallery that displays over 200 items, including The Lindisfarne Gospel, Leonardo da Vinci’s notebook, Shakespeare’s First Folio, lyrics by The Beatles and the world’s earliest dated printed book, Diamond Sutra. The British Library houses one of the world's greatest collections of illuminated manuscripts, and Janet Backhouse has drawn on this rich resource to make a selection of outstanding examples that span over 800 years of medieval book production.

Angus Library and Archive. The Library includes books, pamphlets, journals and letters. There is an international collection of Baptist periodicals. The manuscript collection has material relating to William Carey, C. H. Spurgeon, Joshua and Hannah Marshman, William Ward, E. A. Payne, and J. Rushbrook, and prominent Baptist families. The Angus incorporates the former libraries and archives of: The Baptist Missionary Society (founded in 1792). The Baptist Union of Great Britain (founded in 1832).

Rare Book & Manuscript Library. The Rare Book & Manuscript Library at Columbia University is located on the 6th Floor of its Butler Library. The library holds the special collections of Columbia University, as well as the Columbia University Archives. The range of the library's holdings spans more than 4,000 years, from cylinder seals created in Mesopotamia to contemporary artists' books.
