The book was somewhat interesting-there were a lot of names and information of/about people that I was not familiar with; I would have preferred more about Rufus. The extremely small print used in this book, made it difficult and tiring to read. I do not know why the tiny print was chosen, as the margins on each page were huge-perhaps a matter of printing and publishing costs. I am an avid fan of Rufus Wainwright, his amazing musical genius, and the facts he tells about his life during interviews. I did not see much of his personality in this book.

I am stunned that no reviews have mentioned that this book is printed in a bizarre, illegible size. The text is so small, with oversized margins, that make reading it very unpleasant. This is not a commentary on the quality of the content of the book. I was going to give this to a Rufus fan for Christmas but I can't give someone something so difficult to read.

This biography is well resaerched, too well researched perhaps to the point I feel I am taking a class upon which I will be graded rather than reading a book for enjoyment. It arrived promptly though and in excellent condition. I have learned more about Rufus Wainwright than I did before but have to wade through a lot of backgrouond first.

First off let me qualify that this review concerns the format of the book rather than its content. I'd love to say this was a great read, as I love Rufus Wainwright, but I was physically unable to read it--this printing of "There Will Be Rainbows" is definitely not meant for the vision impaired or, dare I say, anyone past "a certain age." Fair warning for anyone whose eyes are less than fantastic: the book itself is not a large one (think standard paperback) and its "artistic" page layout leaves the reader with a tiny reading area (approx. 3"x4") for the main text ...on top of that, wait for it, there are even footnotes! Would have loved to have read it--maybe I'll look for it in hardcover to see if that was any larger. Note to publisher: The artistic presentation is appreciated, but perhaps would have been served a bit better by a larger book.

This book gives insight to Rufus Wainwright's personality and was a fascinating read! It includes info about his talented family and sheds light on his difficult relationship with his competative father.

I didn't really know what to expect when I bought this, having read many different types of reactions in reviews online, but I absolutely loved it. It didn't take me long to read and was very enjoyable. I learned a great deal about not only Rufus but his family, too. I would definitely recommend this to dedicated fans.

This was highly informative and a pleasure to read. I usually find biographies to be lifeless and dull. This one was not.
A lot of detail on the songs titles and some lyrics but fascinating to read.
