Christopher talks with Andrew Gabriel Roth (The Translator of the Aramaic English New Testament) about what makes this translation different than the Greek based and other Hebrew Roots Bibles. They discuss the history of the Khabouris Codex, how it was translated to English, and what prompted Andrew to translate the New Testament from the Aramaic. Part 2, which will be posted later, deals with the translation errors in the Greek). Purchase the AENT at: Ww. azareneMedia. com ww. uachBroadcasting.

The Aramaic English New Testament (AENT) 5th Edition is a literal translation of the very oldest known Aramaic New Testament texts. This is a study Bible with over 2000 footnotes and 360 pages of appendixes to help the reader understand the poetry, idioms, terms and definitions in the language of Y'shua (Jesus) and his followers. The Aramaic is featured with Hebrew letters and vowel pointing.

This item is refiner's gold. Roth's Christology is complex and may not please some, who may see it as adoptionist or rather like Arianism, two major heresies of the early Christian era. That is they were labeled heretics by other members of the church. Some may call this line of thought Judaizers or similar to the Ebionite view. It is, no matter how you view it, a valuable resource for any person who identifies as Jewish or Christian. The scholarship is excellent and the insights profound, trying to transliterate from the Aramaic is difficult. I only wish there were more resources to help with this aim. Extensive notes and concordances, don't let the polemics against Marcionite tendencies in the Western church get you down, this editor means well. The Hebrew script with masoretic vowel markings to read the Aramaic is large enough so that you can distinguish the differences between the letters and there are some cues in the back to help you. A worthy find I would even buy it for others. Still, have another Bible or two in your arsenal to compare it to, and yes that includes a Greek one, the evangel in Greek is highly valuable!!

Andrew Gabriel Roth did a marvelous job on this edition, the footnotes are awesome, the APPENDIXES 356 pages of them are loaded with more truths than any of the numerous Bibles I have studied. This is my second edition, I have the Bold print 4th edition and the regular 4th edition. My only fault with this one is the typing size, rather small for a 81 year old bible student. I have spoken to the lady who proof read every version many times, she is a Jewish Christian Rabbi, who has The Refinersfire web page. This bible is priceless.only wish the print was larger.

Of all the translations, I like this one best. It had many footnotes and is closer to the original Hebrew meaning than I found in other translations (I have compared four). This is a great book to have. The notes are copious and give clear insights that I did not see in other books. I was so impressed that I bought a second copy for out pastor.

Absolutely fantastic translation. I can't thank all those enough who worked hard to bring this translation to life. We needed a translation such as this in these trying times. If your looking to go deeper into the reading of the new testament this is the bible for you. A lot of people think the bible has been botched, but the reality is that the meaning or spirit of the meaning has been preserved through out history through other popular versions of the bible. I think this is a great complement to people who need to be stronger in the word in order to carry out Gods plan that may be written in our hearts. I was praying for a bible version that I could use for that purpose and God has answered my prayer after much research. Jesus is the Word and the word is God and the Word was with God. "1 In the origin The Word had been existing and That Word had been existing with God and That Word was himself God. 2 This One himself was at the origin with God. 3 Everything was in his hand, and without him not even one thing existed of the things that existed. 4 In him was The Life and The Life is The Light of men. 5 And The Light is shining in the darkness, and the darkness did not overtake it." (John 1:1-5) AENT God bless all those who read this and share His word.

Much more clear translation of the NT than are any from the Greek. Highly recommended.

Lots of information as a English speaking only person there is a lot of space that could be used to spread the inforation out if there were an English version only but I realize that for the Jewish bilingual person this is very useful.
