SSLERWITH JACK Du BRUL A NEW CLIVE CUSSLER NOVEL ISLIKE A VISIT FROM YOUR BESTFRIEND. Ryder placed his saddlebag on the floor and made a show of undoing its buckles, drawing out the moment until he could taste the crew’s greed. It was as high-tech as NASA’s mission control, with computer work stations and a wall dominated by an enormous flat panel display currently showing the chaotic scene along the pier. Mark Murphy and Eric Stone sat at the forward work stations directly below the wall monitor while Hali Kasim, the ship’s chief communications specialist, was to the right.

Clive Cussler is the author of more than fifty books in five bestselling series, including Dirk Pitt, NUMA Files, Oregon Files, Isaac Bell, and Fargo. His life nearly parallels that of his hero Dirk Pitt. As with Cussler's other Oregon File novels, Skeleton Coast starts out fast and accelerates from there. It is a tightly woven tery tale with all the familiar characters and the famous ship. Though more land-based than some of the other Oregon File novels, the action is non-stop and the characters are well-developed.
Skeleton Coast is a book by John Henry Marsh
Skeleton Coast is a book by John Henry Marsh. The true story of the wrecking in 1942 of the British refrigerated cargo liner Dunedin Star and the eventual rescue of all her 106 passengers and crew, at the cost of a tug, an SAAF aircraft and the lives of two rescuers. Skeleton Coast is a novel by Clive Cussler that uses the shifting sands of the coastline as a prominent plot device in the fourth entry in the Oregon Files. The plot of the 1968 fiction film A Twist of Sand involves diamonds hidden in a shipwreck buried in the sand dunes of the Skeleton Coast.
Skeleton Coast is my first Cussler book and I'm a bit underwhelmed. I listened to an audio version of Skeleton Coast by Clive Cussler with Jack Du Brul while driving on my recent vacation. It started off quite well with a decent idea of lost diamonds in the desert but as soon as the unbelievably, too-good-to-be-true heroes of the Oregon show up, all credibility went out the window. These guys can go without sleep for days, walk through a hail of bullets and still come out the other end gleaming. A hunt for African diamonds in which The Oregon gets caught up. Along the way, bad guys who want to unleash weather caused devastation on the earth (holy global warming Batman).
Skeleton Coast is Clive Cussler's fourth Oregon Files adventure, featuring captain Juan Cabrillo. Bestselling author Clive Cussler has kept readers on the edges of their seats for four decades with his thrilling action novels. As well as the Oregon Files series there are also the NUMA Files, the Dirk Pitt stories (which started it all), the Isaac Bell adventures and the Fargo series.
