Start by marking The Hidden Side of the Moon as Want to Read: Want to Read savin. ant to Read. A nice variety of stories spanning nearly three decades of Joanna Russ's career, although "The Little Dirty Girl," the first of the bunch, was the best by far and most of the ones that followed didn't really compare. After the short collection of essays on sexuality and feminism, Magic Mommas, Trembling Sisters, Puritans & Perverts (1985), comes Russ’s final collection of short fiction, The Hidden Side of the Moon. Containing nearly twenty-five stories-more than, if the two-parter stories’ halves are considered separately-this collection spans from Russ’s first published SF tale, Nor Custom Stale (1959), up through stories published in the mid-80’s
