This is a beautiful book with lovely 1 page illustrations for each line. the illustrations are all very minimalistic in a really lovely way. They seem to express something from the text that is just around the corner from the words being read. This text is one of my absolute favorites and I can revisit it virtually daily. I purchased this book as a gift for someone and I think he enjoyed it as well, althought I am not sure. The condition was worn, like a favorite old sweater, but not new like a Barnes and Noble book. That was clear when I ordered so I was not upset by that. This is a great addition to a nightstand or to a bookshelf of old favorites, or better yet, to a routine of prayer.

People are constantly asking me where they can buy this book or if I can get them a copy. But I just give them one of my copies since it's only a few people a week. I've never met anyone who's read the poem or seen a line or two from it and not loved it. My favorite line is "And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should."

This makes for a great and easy small gift for absolutely anyone you know for any occasion. It's also something everyone should own a copy or two of.

Protip: The old-school hardcover versions (from the early-mid 70's?) that are basic drawings are the best. The new square paperback is also great.

This book has been published for a number of years--a kind of classic. The stanzas come with some excellent line drawings. The is an uplifting book for those coping with adversity and grief. Strongly recommended.
Poem was okay, less than I expected and I was charged $14.95 shipping for a few pages of a very child-like book.
