Carola Dunn's Regency 'Lord Iverbrook's Heir', is, as always with her books, an entertaining read. She has the knack of creating interesting, likable characters that capture the reader's attention from the first page. The clever plot keeps one riveted through surprisingly convoluted adventures. I have to admit I was amused and totally involved from the moment the heiress's would-be suitor told her that her father made her his heir because he wanted her to be married and taken care of, and, of course, the best candidate was him! And the sparkling heiress replied that her father had made her his heir because he wanted her to take care of herself! You'll be enlivened, amused, and thoroughly entertained while reading this book. One of Dunn's better efforts. The heroine's impulsivity was a bit annoying as was her mother's tendency never to spot danger ahead. Otherwise a fun read with well developed secondary characters.

Like all of Carola Dunn's books, a charming story. Interesting characters and a good story line makes for a delightful Regency reading experience.

Very funny and enjoyable read. I've read hundreds of regencies and Carola Dunn is one of my favorite authors. This is funny and different from the run of the mill regencies.

Good author, hoping for some more mystery & got really tired of the constant traveling but understand what era the books were published.
