It is a great dialog between St. Augustine and his sixteen years old son Adeodatus about the concept of teaching. As Augustine's other similarly titled works, it was a well thought out attack "AGAINST" philosophers and rationalists. They answer a question, who is the real teacher in our life. A very theological and intellectual dialog and lecture at the same time, a new quality, a unique quality one may state. The Teacher was very well written and I think properly translated.
