It's seldom that I can't finish a book. Although the premise of this one sounded good, the extravagant language and the author's inexplicable habit of capitalizing random words was Irritating. I wonder if this is a vanity press book? Whatever it might be, it's an interesting idea very poorly executed. I resent having to give it one star.

I think Sylvia may have missed the author's frequent allusions to John Kennedy O'Toole's "A Confederacy of Dunces", to which the "random capitalizations" and "extravagant language" were obviously intended as an homage. It is an enjoyable read, but probably less entertaining for those who might not pick up on the literary references.
