The Adams River is a tributary to the Thompson and Fraser Rivers in British Columbia, Canada. Beginning in the Monashee Mountains to the north, the Upper Adams River flows mainly southward and eventually reaches Adams Lake. The Lower Adams River begins at the southern end of the lake and flows into the extreme western end of Shuswap Lake. The river is one of the most important sockeye salmon breeding areas in North America.

Jon Swain's powerful and moving book goes further than anything else I have read towards explaining the appeal of Indo-China and its tragic conflicts. His book is unsparingly honest, a brilliant and unsettling .

Adam Swain journeys to wherever the music takes hi. Following late nights within the river city, he endeavours to chase the sunset, creating luminous vibes at the Burleigh Pavilion on the coast by the beach.

With over 25 years’ experience in honing his craft as a DJ, his career within thin the realm of electronic music is extensive. His prowess as a DJ is not merely contained to a nightclub dancefloor, with his craft allowing him to create entrancing settings here in Australia, and overseas.

She’d left it on when she stepped outside to water her plants, and the screen now displayed a satellite image of red-orange spots on a familiar blue field. Three spots were aligned from west to east. the westernmost a whorl with an icy blue eye and emerging spiral arms; the central spot broader but split and unfocused; the easternmost off the African coast and underscored by a dotted line of fiery scars. She shaded her eyes and squinted through the glass at the image on the screen. Below the picture was a boldface caption, Hurricane Edouard and Tropical Storm Fran.

Jane Swain Adams (known locally as "Granny Adams") was a pioneering farmer in Mangowine, Western Australia. She was born in Toodyay on 28 February 1851, the second of four children of Charles and Jane Mary (née Cameron) Glass, and married Charles Frederick Adams in 1868. The Adams originally established a farm at Yarragin, then in 1875 they moved to Mangowine, near Nungarin – the furthermost east of any settler at that time – where they built the Mangowine Homestead.
