Like Romancing the Stone, this is a movie tie-in for the movie of the same name. I've never enjoyed the movie much, so I was hoping that this would give me more detail and a reason to enjoy it. Sadly, it didn't live up to that hope. Granted, there is plenty of action adventure and romance in this, but it didn't go into greater detail than that. The story often dragged for me, and the characterization was the same as the movie's.
