Damia's Children, page 1. It’s not considered good manners, Thian began, enjoying the vision of his mother manipulating the sturdy and strong-minded security commander as easily as she’d have controlled an errant child. It’s an invasion of privacy and not something Talent would consider except under very unusual circumstances.

Too far as yet to be identified, its presence livened all discussions on the Vadim and the other ships of the squadron. Damia's Children is one of those books that a person will get totally lost in if they don't . Don't get me wrong: I LOVE Anne McCaffrey. I have dozens of her books and have read just about everything she has written.

Damia's Children is one of those books that a person will get totally lost in if they don't read the books in front of it. I found it ceaselessly step-by-step, with no real sense of forward movement of the plot, of tension or suspense, et. .and yes, it gave good information, as far as the plot of the entire series went, but as a stand-alone, it was boring and confusing. This series? I loved the Rowen

This story is awesome. I first read this as a teenager and loved the way the author took me into the future and to outer worlds. I loved this book then and I will continue to love this novel and storyline now and into the future.

As much as I love the Dragons of Pern , I also love this series too. FT&T are wonderful compelling stories and following the generations is fun.

I LOVE THIS SERIES!!!! I loved it in paperback and am soooo glad they are finally putting it out on Kindle. It does seem a bit strange they have put this series out backward (the final book in the series came out not long after Kindles hit the market) but I will take it however I can get it. Now just waiting until "The Rowan" is available and I will be set!

Excellent read and very relaxing. Anne McCaffrey as always keeps you engaged without over loaded violence or seduction. Highly recommend for all ages.

An exciting game and informative look at a talented family of the future. The next book is as good as this is know, but I'm going to read it again because it's also very exciting and I formative.

Damia's Children is one of those 'in-the-middle-of's' books that a person will get totally lost in if they don't read the books in front of it. I found it ceaselessly step-by-step, with no real sense of forward movement of the plot, of tension or suspense, etc... and yes, it gave good information, as far as the plot of the entire series went, but as a stand-alone, it was boring and confusing. Don't get me wrong: I LOVE Anne McCaffrey. I have dozens of her books and have read just about everything she has written. This series? I loved the Rowen. Damia not so much - she was a hard character to like. After this one is Lyon's Pride, which picks up the pace and develops likeable and hateable characters, and then Tower and the Hive, again moving information along but terribly boring to read. You finished it because it was the last book in the series. On a scale of 1-10, the Tower Series gets about a 3. Most of her series are better ... the Pern ones outstanding, the Freedom Series excellent, and I liked all of the Brain ship ones. I STILL read Killashandra's series (Crystal Singer, Killashandra, Crystal Song)and Peter Reininger's over and over a couple times a year.

As always Anne doesn't disappoint. Although I still prefer the dragonrider books this was also a good book from a good series.
I read these books with my mother as a child and kept rereading them as an adolescent and an adult. My copies are old and falling apart, I am my relieved to be reliving these books on kindle.
