Raven is from a different set of shapeshifters, ones that have hidden for years from the wolves. Now she is trying to infiltrate the Donegal Clan in order to get an important artifact back for her people. She is a warrior, and has dedicated her life to her people. When she meets Barr, she finds that everthing she knows about shifters may be wrong...

I've read the other book in this series, and it must have been a long time ago because this one doesn't seem to be as good. Raven seems imature and irritating, and the other characters where also one dimensional. The writing doesn't seem to be as interesting, I don't know how to explain it other than it felt like the story was simplified and the characters didn't have a lot of depth.

Than being said, I liked the story line, and that Raven was still a strong woman in her own right, even without Barr. There could be a lot more done with the series and characters, and if another one comes out I may take a look at them.

i have read the first book, and i simply adored it. but this book i haven't even finished, i can't read through it. the love is forced between them and everything is solved really easy. and if you think that some trouble might appear, the Alpha just goes '' it's okay because i love you, you should have told me sooner.'' he is also pretty dense considering that the pack have tried to exterminate her Race, when the other alpha reigned. yes, he is now dead, but still, predjudice doesn't just stop. and to give the heroine, she press this issue a litte, but then they end up just having sex. again.

The heroine is boring and simpleminded. the whole plot just falls flat and doesn't stir any intrest in how it may go with the different characters because they have not been builded or crafted properly. however, i will add one more time that i adored her 1 book about the Moon's Childeren. but this book just didn't do it for me.

the sex scences felt more like fillers, like the Author just doesn't know what to write or have to few pages and just fill them with sex, so we might be glad for the couple, but it grows tiresome.

I think Lucy Monroe has really done it with these type of books. Very interesting, I can hardly put it down.
There is just something mysterious about shape shifters and I find it quite fascinating to read about them and love
how she intertwines the romance with the heritage of the people and folk lore.

A nice, but fairly predictable read. Although, there were some reveils that were surprises, I wasn't really enthralled. I enjoyed it as a light summer read.

The book was good but not as good as I expected. I would recommend it for reading. I was hoping for more.

It is a good book but not to my tastes. Does not reach out and grab you. A little too slow.
