This diary was Martha’s outlet as family members died, love entered and left her life, and as she grew older after the death of her only child. She was a suffragette, yet still a woman of her time suffering silently through her first marriage with an abusive man.

She was a wonderful writer, holding my interest and wishing for more after the book ended. My favorite book!!

This book was fantastic. You really get the sense of what life was like. Her life was extraordinary. What she endured, I would not have been able to. A Must Read.
She helped shape America with the Women's Right to vote movement.

This book might not be for everyone but it was an interesting account of this woman's life. The history of the time she lived was enough to keep my interest. She was indeed quite a strong minded woman.

Loved this, especially because I had found a vintage autograph book with signatures that led me to her! So glad her writings got printed and shared.

If you like reading about pioneer women, then you will love the diary of Martha Farnsworth. I could not put it down the first night I started reading it. I found myself actually crying for this woman and what she endured. I liked the fact that it was "her" actual writings, not someone else telling what they think about her. All I know is "Times Have Sure Changed". Don't pass this one up!

Such a good book. I am very happy with it.
