Recent move to this area, I needed to learn its history, I saw this book at my Dr's office and needed to continue reading and thought I would like to have this on my Coffee Table at home. The book was available at the local historical museum, however the price of nearly 50.00 was a little steep so I went to my Amazon and low and behold there is was in a pristine used condition.
When I received the book I got another surprise, The book was signed by the author. I was extremely pleased. Don C.

Mrs. Thurlow has done it again. She, more than anyone else, has brought Stuart's, and Martin County's, history to life, giving the average resident a revealing look into how it was. She has chronicled the lives of the forefathers of our beautiful community in a concise and entertaining fashion. This book, as with all of her books, is a delight and I thoroughly recommend it to anyone interested in our local history.
