Eugene Braunwald (born August 15, 1929 in Vienna, Austria) is an American cardiologist. Braunwald was born to Jewish parents Wilhelm Braunwald and Clara Wallach in Vienna. and medical degree at New York University, and completed his residency in internal medicine at the Johns Hopkins Hospital.
