Journal of Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry. Problem solving and applications of thermal methods. It has been shown that simultaneous measurements of reflected light intensity (RLI) with DSC can give additional and valuable information for the thermal analysis of materials including pure organic and inorganic chemicals, natural and synthetic polymers and foods. Thermal methods have been used to study the stability and the stages of degradation of unsaturated polyester resins of various structures. The effects of altering the glycol or the aromatic acid and of introducing particular structural units have been investigated.
KEYWORDS: High Temperature Polymers, Thermal Analysis, Extrusion, Process Monitoring. JOURNAL NAME: Materials Sciences and Applications, Vo. N., June 25, 2018. ABSTRACT: Over the last years, the use of high performance thermoplastic materials increased significantly especially in aviation applications. Thus, the processing of these high temperature polymers became more and more interesting. Especially, the groups of polymers like polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), polyether ether ketone (PEEK) or polyetherimide (PEI) are in the focus of recent developments and investigations.

Thermal Methods of Analysis is a welcomed book in the thermal analysis field
Thermal Methods of Analysis is a welcomed book in the thermal analysis field. The theo- retical aspects of the thermal methods applied in studying physical properties, chemical reactions or thermal behaviour of a large variety of materials, are accompanied by de- tailed description of instrumentation, techniques of operation and data analysis. Chapter 6, Problem solving and applications of thermal methods, covers a large variety of subjects in the field of materials' studies: inorganic materials, polymeric materials, fine chemicals and pharmaceuticals are only a few of them. 0368-4466/95/$ . 0 John Wiley & Sons, Limited 9 1995 AkadEmiai Kiad6, Budapest Chichester.
