According to the American Religious Identification Survey that got Mohler's attention, the percentage of self-identified Christians has fallen 10 percentage points since 1990, from 86 to 76 percent. In 1992 the critic Harold Bloom published a book titled "The American Religion: The Emergence of the Post-Christian Nation. Worldly success tends to mark the beginning of the end for the overtly religious in politics. If you have read Leonard Ravenhill, this will remind you of him. Very passionate and to the point. Will fire you up like very few other things will.

Written a number of years ago, this book saw then what only has increasingly become obvious to more and more sincere believers in and followers of the Lord.

We must "dump" the Gospel of the Church and restore the Gospel of the Kingdom of God.

This is the wake-up call for Christians who want to have a REAL walk with a REAL GOD, rather than settling for merely "churchianity" as usual.

Generally speaking, "institutionalized christianity" does
not cut it. This book spells out the reasons why and where
American churchianity has often missed God and HIS will. - sometimes very seriously missing His best and His Will for being and acting AS A BODY under His Headship.

If this book does not stir something deep within your soul: examine your heart carefully: you may well need to get [for REAL] converted and not be just entertaining "religion".
