Thom and Joani's book, I felt was a bit weak on addressing adult education. However, I was a little uncomfortable with the impression that no one church knows how to teach effectively besides the Schultz's.

Thom and Joani's book, I felt was a bit weak on addressing adult education. There is a chapter looking at the sermon, but overall they seem largely interested in reforming Children's Sunday School and Youth programs. I would appreciate more application to the entire Church learning context as their evidence implies a need exisits across all age groups. I realize the book title and some of the content may be seeking to use exaggeration for effect.

There is a lot of truth in this book that focusses on the premise that some churches are not reaching and teaching the people. The line can be redrawn so churches tackle the Gospel and give their parish or followers more than fluffy, feel good little sermons.
