This book is fabulous. It is written in plain English for a start. It gives clear explanations of what passages are about. It lays open weekly at my bible study group as we are always interested in what it has to say. For a new Christian it means getting into scripture with ease and simplicity though I would never use it alone for reading the bible. This bible falls into a reference type book which for the money is well worth it.
