You Do!:A Dasiy Book By Kes Gray. Well this is really a lesson to parents. Kids pick up and remember everything. So, lead by example or they will throw it in your face

Say hello to quick-witted, determined Daisy. You Do!:A Dasiy Book By Kes Gray. So, lead by example or they will throw it in your face. I really wouldn't put up with her crap. Every time she is told not to do something, she back talks, throwing something in her mom's face. This would drive me crazy. Of course my daughter found this funny.

I loved Kes Gray's book "Eat Your Peas" enough to ensure that my elementary school library has two copies of it. I discovered that "You Do!" was available here in the US and ordered a preview copy for myself before ording one for the school library. Am I glad I did!

The charm of "Eat Your Peas" is that the mother continually tries to bribe Daisy into eating her peas, with extravagant offers such as baby elephants and chocolate factories. When I read "Eat Your Peas" to a class, students invariably tell me which of the goodies that they would accept in exchange of eating their least favorite foods. It's a fun experience for reader and child. Kids KNOW that the mother is being ridiculous, and we all have experience with being faced with foods we don't like.

In "You Do!" the same mother gives Daisy general instructions in manners and housekeeping such as "don't leave your clothes on the floor" and "don't pick your nose" -- the response is always "you do." I found Daisy's repetitive response to be disrespectful to her mother. The last page of a tickle battle did not redeem the content earlier in the book.

Buy "Eat Your Peas" instead... it's a brilliant story!

I find this book super cute, funny and heart warming. The Daisy books are so sweet and perfect for single mom/daughter bonds.

Book was filthy. Pages were covered with some substance. Grossed my kids out.
Hopefully chocolate and harmless.
Still pretty gross.

This book is horrible. I would have given it no stars if I could have. It went right into the trash. This little bratty girl is completely disrespectful to her mother. And there are no consequences for her disrespect, only a little tickling match at the end, as if she was rewarded for her behavior. Why in the world do authors write books like these? It is not cute when kids act like this. Why make a story of it?

My 3rd grade students loved this book. Now, some people may not be able to stomach the story, I believe it was an amazing and awesome read, entertaining yet enlightening! "You Do" too...
