Mayer's leadership seems to be more about Mayer than those she is responsible for leading. Perhaps Mayer's biggest failure is the ability to unlearn. Mayer would be well served to take the spotlight off herself, and shine it on those she leads. Many leaders are very skilled at challenging the thoughts and opinions of others, but are woefully inept when it comes to challenging their own thinking. The reality is that it takes no effort to cling to your current thinking; however to change your mind requires you to challenge your mind.

Great books for every child. It was perfect for my 5 year old, but I would say you can also start reading this at around 4 yo.

Good, but I wanted more.

I presented and had 5 children age 5-7 years old read the book and discuss leadership. This is an excellent resource for this age group. They really understood this book and were able to provide examples of leadership they exhibit in their own daily lives.

Did not like this book at all! there is no story, it is more like a 123 points. However it helps children know when and how to be leaders.

I do not recommend this book for children who are younger than 4 years of age

okay book. Hoping for more ways to show how to be a leader, why it's good to be a leader, etc.

I read this book aloud as part of a leadership training program I teach for youth aged 10-15. It creates a great launching off point for a larger discussion. It covers the basics of leadership in a way anyone can understand. Highly recommend.
It was a little more basic than I was hoping for, but it does have good points and addresses the issue well. Geared toward younger kids though, 4-5 years old.
