My granddaughters love this book, even though they are Disney princess fans. I first saw it in the library and had to renew it three times because the then 4 year old didn't want to give it up. The illustrations are fun - she had a good time following what was happening, and even saw some details I missed. And having each princess descend from the prior one was a great way to pull the familiar stories together. The attitudes were hilarious as well.

Actually bought this for the little one's school because their copy wore out. It's good for a large age range, even has some jokes aimed at the adults ;)

The book is 5 classic princess stories told in comic book style. Each story ties into the next, as each princess has a daughter that turns out to be the princess in the next story, except for Sleeping Beauty who also turns out to be Snow White. There are many cute, funny jokes in the book that are probably aimed more at the parents than the kids, that make it a pleasure to read. There are a couple of mice that appear throughout the book making funny comments, that my daughter always looks for. Very clever book.

This hardback book is like a large comic book. The stories are separated into illustrated grids. The writing is pretty advanced for little kids, but it keeps parents amused. The stories build on each other, which is fun & new. Cinderella is Sleeping Beauty's mother, who is the mother of the princess in The Frog Prince, & so on. The book is lots of fun & my daughter loves it. I'm buying the other book by this author now that I know there is one. :)
