This is a wonderful, exuberant collection of poetry. I have never loved the genre, yet I find each selection in this volume to be delightful. The illustrations are lovely and varied. I purchased this for my son's upcoming birthday, but I have leafed through it on my own several times. What a pleasure it is to read!

I bought this book along with another, Dragons, Dragons, to use in my 3 year old classroom. The children loved it. The art is amazing and the selections of writings were so appropriate. The children would just look and look at the pictures and we spent a week just exploring different ways of creating art-they wanted to paint like Eric Carle. They loved it. I loved it. It was a hit. Highly recommended!

This book is large and full of beautiful pictures. It is well worth the money. My 19 month old loves it...we reread it over and over again because she likes it so much. I love Eric Carle books. They are so beautiful and you can not go wrong with them. They also make great gifts. I would recommend it and keep adding to your collection by Eric Carle. It is a gift your children will always have and never outgrow!!!

Eric Carle is a master! My children love this book.
Wonderful Eric Carle illustrations of animals. This is poetry rather than stories, so just know that before you order. I can't get my 4 yr old to look at it much but maybe later. We may try it as a picture book at first, reading the poems later.
