My class does a research paper about frogs and this book has a lot of good information that they can use to write their paper.

This is a really lovely book. Recently, for my 7-year-old daughter's Cloverbud (4H) group, we fished for tadpoles from a local pond so each of us could watch them grow at home. We read this book first. It has beautiful drawings and is both clear and interesting. My daughter and I have seen a lot of books about frogs, but this is the first that got my daughter really excited about them.

My almost-5 year old has really developed a taste for science, and I credit this book. This is one of the first non-fiction book that I've read to him, and he loves it. (Also a huge fan of "Are you a Ladybug?") He's since expanded into Magic School Bus, and pretty much anything else he can get his hands on to learn about the world around him. There are lots of colorful pictures, and I've learned a lot myself reading this. Very worthwhile.
