A. Pomerans (Translator). A really fascinating read if you're seriously curious about the gentleman, from the mundane notes to his illusions of grandeur. A unique insight, and of considerable historical value to boot. It was first published in German as Hitlers Briefe und Notizen: sein Weltbild in handschriftlichen Dokumenten in 1973

Hitler's Letters And Notes book. Maser, Werner, ed. (1973)

Perhaps this book should have been called "Hitler's Hitler" for, in contrast to the countless publications that have been devoted to Hitler, National Socialism, the Nazi Party and the Third Reich--there are more than 100,000 dealings with the Second World War alone--it does not try to interpret Hitler but lets him speak for himself. I have read maybe 30 books about Adolf Hitler and this book ranks in the top 5 of the best researched, written and documented. A great reference source if you are considering purchasing an - authentic - Hitler document.

I am quite a history buff, so when I found this out of print book, I pounced on it. It is a fascinating book, giving the reader yet another insight into one of the 20th centuries most hated, yet most brilliant men.

I would highly recommend this seller, too. Book was in really nice shape, reasonably priced and excellent, timely shipping!

There is no quicker way on the road to the truth about Hitler than his own words. Maser presents the Fuehrer as he really was, through his drawings, notes, and correspondence. I am especially fond of Maser's style of presenting things as they really are, without unnecessary negative commentary as is so common in most other works about Hitler. This book is a must!
