With: Robin, Liza, Linda, Tiffany. Produced, directed, written by Michael Viner, based on the book by Robin, Liza, Linda and Tiffany as told to Joanne Parrent. This attempt to cash in on the notoriety of a racy true-life best-seller, which is coincidentally just now being published in paperback, stands as a diluted version of the tome, one in which many of the names are still named but without much of the lurid detail.

Linda, Liza, Robin, Tiffany. More than once a complaint was made about the men seeing the seedy apartments of these women, and not helping them out, either with money, or with a job offer on a tv show or movie, as if they were obligated to do so. What to me is an obvious ploy for sympathy backfires - these men were virtual strangers to these women, despite having sex with them. These women chose their profession, but seemed to be looking for a "Pretty Woman" ending. And they were not poverty stricken women, driven to prostitution out of a desperate need, most of these women are from families with money.

Four beautiful young women tell the stories of the famous, the sexy, the rich, and the sadistic.

True stories of sex with the stars in Hollywood, as told by four high-class prostitutes. Jack Nicholson, Rod Stewart, Matt Dillon, George Harrison, Warren Beatty and Dennis Hopper are some of the cast of Hollywood's elite whose carnal exploits are retold in this book.

Assuming the stories about the celebs are real, it is an interesting look into the world of so-called "high class prostitution" and the power between men and women and the wealthy/powerful and the needy, innocent. I know there are freaks out there and money makes no difference, except the rich and powerful can better hide their twisted secret lives.
It is most interesting how these girls learned to view themselves (beautiful, powerful, wealthy, glamorous) versus real life (whores who were enslaved by rich men, addicts, living from trick to trick).
You will learn what a cesspool the movie business really is/can be. It's sad.
The best part of this book are the 2 introductions. I won't do a spoiler.
In the end, these women struggle to find themselves, get sober, and clean off the mental garbage as best they can. Most poignant was how a "high class call girl's" dream was to be happily married in suburbia with kids.

1980s tell all about the sordid escapades of Tinseltown's escorts, celebs, and Hollywood power players, many of whom are now dead and buried. Readers may come for the dirt but walk away with a mixture of disgust and sadness for the lost women who trade looks for a wad of cash, drugs, and a brush with celebrity. Many of Hollywood's power players, rock stars, and actors profiled seem hell bent on self-destruction and so lonely. A fast read that shows what might really happen behind those hedged mansions or high end hotel suites.

The book is somewhat dated, but I found it interesting because of the stories that have been coming out currently about Bill Cosby.

This book is for you if you love gossip magazines

Hollyweird is and always will be a strange place, this book was a peek into the excesses and abuse by so called celebrities.
Gtonydne
It's interesting at first because of the shock value of hearing about the celebrities involved. After reading for a bit it gets almost mundane hearing about their drug and sexual adventures. Nothing ever seems to change and nobody seems to learn anything.

I bought it because I wanted to see what the hookers said about Glenn Frey and Don Henley. It was interesting.
