I enjoyed that material and the opinions presented. The author was objective. One must understand that this material was written around 1900 - and appreciate that the writing style is not contemporary. With that in mind, if you are looking for more background information about Charles Dickens and his times, this is an interesting piece. Value for the price? Five Stars.

For the Kindle. I haven't read it yet.

I have read Chesterton's biography of Dickens, and I have read A Christmas Carol, therefore, though I have not read or purchased this edition, I still feel qualified to rate it at the bottom of the scale for two reasons: 1) The cover misspells Dickens' name, & 2) The edition has been on sale for over a year and the error has not been corrected. Please correct the spelling of Dickens' first name and upload the corrected cover file to the Kindle store.
